The round robin group consists of Shallow Lake, Walkerton, TCDMHA, Durham and Arran-Elderslie. This group will play a home and home, eight games all together. The Lakers came up a little short last night at home, with a shorter than normal bench. They lost 2-0 to the Durham Huskies, with Durham getting both their goals in the last period. The game did get a little crazy with some aggressive hits, back to back game I guess, but the referee was letting a lot go in the two first periods that probably wasn't normal. The first two periods where scoreless, with Jed Nuttall making the start in net for the Lakers. Jed played an awesome game for the Lakers. The Lakers lost Kory Brady at the start of the third, after receiving a blow to the head. This went un-noticed by the officials, and created some real animosity. M. Hopkins and T. Sweeney would both score for Durham in the third period.

HUGE WIN!!! The Lakers got a must needed 4-3 win in Durham. The game could be considered somewhat sloppy at times, but a big night from both Jordan Proctor and Mitch Donais scoring 2 goals each, helped the Lakers grab the victory. Durham would open with a 2-0 lead early in the first, but Proctor would close the gap shortly after Durham's second goal. Durham would get their third goal in the first, but Donais answered right back for the Lakers. That was five goals in the first period for a 3-2 Durham lead!!!  Proctor would close the gap once again early in the second period, and would send the troops to the dressing room knotted at three. Mitch Donais would get the game winner with just 1:46 left in the third period.

Heartbreaker in Chatty!!! The Rebels would score almost 5 minutes into overtime to beat the Lakers 2-1. The Rebels regulation marker came from Brock Wardell with 4:20 left in the first period. Riley Field gave the Lakers a boost scoring with just 1:44 left in the second, sending them to their rooms for the flood tied at one.
The game saw the Rebels take 16 PIM vs the Lakers 8 PIM., this gave lots of power play opportunity, but the goaltending for the Rebels was very good on this night.  Wardell would get his second goal in sudden victory overtime 4 minutes and 37 seconds in. Though loss after an extremely hard fought game!!!!

The Lakers opened their round robin at home, but would open in defeat. Walkerton was able to take away a 4-2 win over the Lakers. Not the desired start, but a heck of an effort just the same. Walkerton drew first blood, but Dan McIvor would even the score in the dying seconds of the first. Walkerton would open up the score throughout the course of the game, taking a 4-1 lead. However, Dakota Simkins gave the Lakers life 11:34 into the third, making the score 4-2. The Lakers stormed the Walkerton goal in the last three minutes of the game, but where unable to get any closer.
