Huskies Play Role of Scrooge
The visiting Durham Huskies, on Dec. 23rd, gave the Lakers a piece of coal in their stocking, and handed them a 4-2 loss. Not the Christmas present we where looking for. All in all, not a great hockey game, but I think everyone was in the holiday spirit!!

The Lakers got off to a good start, opening the scoring just 57 seconds into the game, with a goal from Ian Klages. This would be the only goal of the first period.
However, the Huskies would send the teams to their rooms tied after two, with a Huskies goal from L. MacLachlan 42 seconds into the second period.
Riley Field would regain the lead for the Lakers after the flood, just 13 seconds into the third period.
However, the wheels would fall off for the Lakers, with three unanswered goals from Durham to end the game. Third period goals for the Huskies came from B. MacLachlan, S. Hopkins, and M. Hopkins.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and a Happy New Year to all!!!
