Lakers Tie Ice Dogs
The Novice Lakers where looking for a win to move into of 3rd place but the Ice Dogs refused to let that happen.
Cameron Thomas picked up his first goal of the season assisted by Kaleb Bartlett to put the Lakers in front only 2 minutes into the game. Josh Edmonstone would put the Lakers up 2-0 when he rang one off the crossbar and into the net with only 2 minutes remaining in the first. That would be the only scoring for the Lakers as the Ice Dogs goalie would shut them down on several great scoring chances.
The Ice Dogs would fight back and pick up goal in the 2nd to make it 2-1 and another in the 3rd while the Lakers were short handed to tie the game at 2. The Lakers looked like they might grab the lead when forward Jaxon Bisson broke in late in the game but Ice Dogs goalie robbed him of a sure goal with a great glove save. Lake goalie Jackson Kuhl was strong between the pipes once again shutting down the Ice Dogs in the 3rd when the Lakers looked to be tiring.. Laker forward Josh(burger) Freiburger had his best game of the season and was awarded Hardest Working Laker. These 2 teams will go at it again this Saturday Dec 9th when they meet each other in the the Muskoka Rock Tournament. "Good Luck Lakers"
