Lakers Continue To Improve
The Laker Novice Rep are continuing to work hard at practice and its starting to show in their games. The Lakers faced a strong Walkerton team for the 2nd time this season and were looking to improve on the 9-0 thumping they faced in the first outing against the Capitals.

The team came out ready to play & Laker goalie Jackson Kuhl was strong between the pipes as the young Lakers shut down the opposition for the entire first period. Walkerton would score 3 minutes into the 2nd but less that 2 minutes later the Lakers would tie it when Liam Thomas pounced on a rebound and buried his first of the season to tie the game, assisted by Jaxon Bisson and Carter Luchkardt. The score would remain tied until 4 minutes into the 3rd when Walkerton would take a 2-1 lead. The Lakers fought hard for the equalizer but just couldn’t find the back of the net. Walkerton would pick up 2 more in the last 2 minutes in a couple of goal mouth scrambles and score would end up 4-1 Walkerton. Despite the loss the coaches are proud of the way the young Lakers played hard the entire game and didn’t give up. The Lakers are off to Howick this weekend for a tournament and will face both Drayton and Minto on Saturday. Good Luck Laker Novice.
