Kuhl Backs Lakers to Shut Out Win
Goalie Jackson Kuhl recorded his 3rd shutout of the season and his 2nd against the Chatsworth Rebels to lead the Novice Rep to a 2-0 win on Monday night in Shallow Lake.

Josh Edmonstone opened the scoring only 20 seconds in when he broke away from Rebels defense and buried one high over the shoulder of the Rebels goalie to give the Lakers the early lead.  Kaleb Bartlett would pick up his first of the season mid way thru the first in a goal mouth scramble to give the Lakers an early 2-0 lead. For the next 2 1/2 periods the Lakers would throw everything they had at the Rebels gaolie but he shut the door to keep the game close.  Laker defensemen Thomas, Paterson, Hamilton & Luchhardt held  strong and denied the Rebels with very few scoring chances to help preserve the shutout and the 2-0 win. McCauley McNabb had a strong game and was awarded the hardest working Laker by the coaching staff. The Lakers face Arran Elderslie for the first time this Sunday in Shallow Lake at 4pm before heading of to Muskoka for a tournament the following weekend.
