Sam on Fire!
Although I was unfortunately not able to be at this game, I was informed by many that Sam was on fire for this game which was played in Wiarton on January 10, 2014.
Thanks to my play by play partner (Jen P) - the team travelled to Wiarton to face off against Bruce Peninsula. This is always an exciting and fast-paced match-up!
Bruce Peninsula opened the scoring in the first period with an unassisted goal by Treyton Jones.
The Lakers came alive in the 2nd period with two (2) goals by Jake Ross, assisted by Spencer Davidson (2) and Meghan Prentice.
Heading into the 3rd period, the Lakers added two (2) additional goals by a great effort by Sam Standoloft (assisted by Bennett Lines and Ella Tiley) and an insurance goal by James Palmer, assisted by Bennett and Sam.
Strong skating and determination would seem to be the winning way for this game in the team's 4-1 win!
