Great Games so far!!
It has been a great start for The Masters Workbench Shallow Lake Atom LL #2 team this year!!
It was the battle of Shallow Lake on October 27, 2013 and as history would tell it, friends and family were not disappointed. The game ended in a 2-2 tie! Scoring for the Atom LL #2 were Jake Ross and Tyler McKee. Assists went to Sam Standoloft and James Palmer.
The Masters Workbench Atom LL #2 team were all over the Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs when we travelled to Paisley on November 3, 2013 ending in a 5-0 score. Sam Standoloft opened the scoring in the first period assisted by Bennet Lines and James Palmer. The second period showed Jake Ross scoring twice assisted by Spencer Davidson and Meghan Prentice and Zach Palmer scoring once assisted by Andy Walker. The third period saw Sam Standoloft scoring assisted by Bennett Lines. Lander Hartley scored the shutout with some amazing saves! Congrats everyone!
On November 9, 2013, the team hosted a determined TCDMHA Rebels team. It was a close game after the first period (2-1 for TCDMHA) with Sam Standoloft providing our only first period goal, assisted by James Palmer. The second period belonged to TCDMHA and ended 4-1 for the visiting team. Jake Ross scored the only goal in the third period for the Lakers, assisted by Spencer Davidson. TCDMHA scored another single goal in the third. We would leave the game with a new awareness of the determination of this team!!
On November 10, 2013, the team hosted the Bruce Peninsula North Stars. Jake Ross lead the Lakers scoring 4 goals. Bennett Lines scored one goal. Assists went to Meghan Prentice, Spencer Davidson and James Palmer. Final score was 5-1. Congrats for a great game!
On November 15, 2013, the team travelled to Chesley to take on the Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs. It was a very exciting game!! Although this game ended in a 6-5 loss for the Lakers, a great team effort was given!! Logan Richards scored his first-ever goal and was congratulated by being given the game puck by Coach Chris. All your teammates are very proud of you Logan!! Additional scorers for Shallow Lake were Jake Ross (3) and Meghan Prentice with (1). Assists went to Spencer Davidson (2) and Jake Ross. Lander Hartley played another outstanding game in net!
On November 16, 2013, the team once again hosted the Bruce Peninsula North Stars. This game was a much closer game!! Goal scoring efforts were from Jake Ross (2), Spencer Davidson (1) and Zach Palmer (1). Assists went to Meghan Prentice (2), Spencer Davidson, Jake Ross and Tyler McKee.
On November 24, 2103, we hosted the Saugeen Shores Storm and came out victorious by a score of 5-1. Sorry - do not have particulars of that game to share!
It was a team effort yesterday as The Mastersworkbench Shallow Lake Lakers Atom LL #2 team were victorious over the Saugeen Shores Storm by a score of 7-2. The scoring started off slow, with the Lakers eventually clinging to a 2-1 lead after the first period. The second period showed Spencer Davidson with a lone goal effort, thus taking the Lakers into the third period with a 2 goal lead. The Lakers would put the game away in the third period scoring an additional 4 goals in the third period. Goals awarded to Spencer Davidson (2), Sam Standoloft (1), Zach Palmer (1) and Jake Ross (3). Awesome assists went to Josh Cassidy, Meghan Prentice, Spencer Davidson and Jake Ross. Another solid goaltending effort by Lander Hartley!! Congrats to the entire team for a great team effort!
