AND THE WINNER IS....
The Owen Sound Ledgerock Shallow Lake Lakers Atom LL #1 faced off against the TCDMHA Rebels for the North Division Atom LL Championship in Keady on Friday March 7, 2014 at 7:00pm.
The Rebels started the game off with the first goal early in the first period. The Lakers did not stand for this long and Oskar French Jones got the momentum going for the Lakers later in the first, assisted by Quintin Cardinal. Quintin then stepped it up with a goal of his own in the second period, assisted by Darryl Blair and goalie Jimmy St. Marie. Darryl Blair then scored the game winning goal in the third period, assisted by Quintin Cardinal and Jarrod Forest. The Rebels fought back hard in the third , but despite another goal and pulling their goalie, they fell just short and the Lakers pulled off an exciting 3-2 win for the WOAA championship. Jimmy St. Marie was the force in net for the Lakers. It was a good, clean, exciting game and great competition. These two teams really proved that they deserved to be playing in this final game!
Thanks to our coaches, trainer, parents, and everyone who helped to make this season memorable!!
Great Job Lakers - so proud of you!
And we are not done yet...the fun continues with some exhibition games against Hanover and a tournament later this month in Milmay.
