It was another exciting face off between the Owen Sound Ledgerock Shallow Lake Lakers Atom LL #1 team and the Master’s Workbench Shallow Lake Lakers Atom LL #2 team.
The Ledgerock Lakers came out fighting with a goal by Darryl Blair right off the first face off, assisted by Quintin Cardinal and Jarrod Forest. Jake Ross answered for the Master’s Workbench team later, assisted by Tyler McKee, ending the first period in a 1-1 tie. The Ledgerock Lakers fought back in the second period and came ahead by 3 more goals scored by Kaiden Henrich, Darryl Blair, and Jarrod Forest. Assists for these goals went to Zack Deakins, Oskar French Jones, Anderson Kivell, Darryl Blair, and Quintin Cardinal. Again, half way through the second period, Shawn Briggs and Tyler McKee assisted Jake Ross from the Master’s Workbench team to bring the score up to 4-2. The third period proved to be an exciting one as the Master’s Workbench team fought a hard battle to catch up and the Ledgerock Lakers fought to maintain their lead. Darryl Blair came through for the Ledgerock Lakers with 1 more goal, making this Darryl’s third hat trick of the season, assisted by Jonathan Coffey and Oskar French Jones, securing the first win for the Ledgerock Lakers against their closest rivals and friends. Kudos goes to both goalies - Jimmy St. Marie and Lander Hartley for great games in net.
