Taking It All in Stride
On Saturday, January 23, 2016, our team hosted the TCDMHA Rebels and it was once again a fast-paced enjoyable hockey game with our Lakers coming out on top with a score of 5-2. The length of the reach on our defence is really apparent! Congrats on a game well-played!
The contributions of all players were displayed in fine form during the entire game! I sat watching the game in wonderment of how our players have developed their skills and their passion for the game. There wasn't one skill hidden. We were treated to an enjoyable game... the skating, the desire, the passing, the skill, the back-checking, the shooting....I could go on!
Summary for Period 1: Jake Ross opened the scoring for Shallow Lake, assisted by Jonathan Coffey. Zach Deakins scored next with assists from Bennett Lines and Kylan Robins. Scoring for TCDMHA was Adam Gorman, assisted by Dalan Frook and Liam Wright.
Summary for Period 3: Wyatt Hickson scored with assists from Jonathan Coffey and Tyler McKee. Then Sam Standoloft scored assisted by Oskar French-Jones and Quinlin Wilder. Quintin Cardinal scored with assists from Wyatt Hickson and Bennett Lines. Scoring for TCDMHA was William H., unassisted.
As we head into our first tournament of 2016 in Teeswater on January 30th, we should be very optimistic given the time and effort our coaching staff has invested in our players. Take the shot, pass the puck, lean on each other, compliment each other and take the hockey tournament feeling all in stride :) Have a great time! Best of luck Lakers! GO LAKERS GO!
