Beautiful Reflections......
The playoffs brought lots of "busy" ness for our Sauble Golf and Country Club Peewee LL Lakers.  Our team of leaders were pressed to the max to find time to fit in our playoff games and a year end tournament that the kids enjoyed both on and off the ice!  Let's take a minute to reflect on a fantastic season!

I could take some time to advise everyone that the 2 gamesheets I hold in my hands resulted in a 3-0 loss to Kincardine and a 6-2 win vs Arran-Elderslie, both on our home ice....but let's get to the summary of our amazing hockey season!  Our year end tournament in Goderich the weekend of March 18th and 19th served to be our best gathering of the season.  We did win our last game, however our points were not enough for us to be able to play on Sunday.  So we had fun the only way these Lakers know how - chillin' with friends, swimming, games room, appreciating each other and appreciating the leadership who have taught them way more than the game of hockey ever could.  Thanks to Melissa for arranging such a great weekend!  Some great memories that come to mind....our goalie and teammate, Ben Redmond, our awesome team and the parents who (I will admit it) take their child to the rink for a 1.5 hour practice anticipating a long hang out at the rink, but find a refreshing environment and my "hockey family" waiting to say hi, to touch base, to share stories, to ask how your week was and being able to hold a new hockey family member in your arms and know that his attire supports one of the best hockey organizations anyone could ask for.  And then seeing your child come out with a smile on their face and a funny story to tell.  Because that is what Coach Mike teaches...."commitment" to come to the practice, "patience" to learn the skills, "determination" to get the skill just a little bit better than last week, "enjoyment" of the game and "respect" to the authority of those teaching you.  Because what you see in our kids are really all just beautiful reflections.....
