It Isn't Always About Hockey!
An early showing of Christmas spirit was alive and well at the Shallow Lake arena on December 12, 2015, as our Lakers hosted Bruce Peninsula.
The hockey game was the reason we were at the rink, but we watched many signs and acts of kindness display what Shallow Lake is all about. We did happen to win the game 9-2 with an awesome (is there another word?) showing by teammate Wyatt Hickson with 4 goals! Congrats on a great showing Wyatt! He must have been feeling the NRG from his Nanny, who spread Christmas cheer with Christmas gifts for each and every player. Thanks for your support!
Scoring summary 1st period: For Bruce Peninsula, lone goal was Ryan Nearingburg, unassisted. Scoring for Shallow Lake was Wyatt Hickson (2), assisted by Quinlin Wilder (2), Sam Standoloft (2) and Ben Redmond.

But it wasn't the hockey win that warmed our players' hearts today...Christmas spirit radiated from young to old in many different ways and if the Grinch was anywhere near the arena, his heart once again grew 3 sizes that day :)
