Lakers Bring Home Win Over Bruce Peninsula
The always exciting match up, and first head-to-head of the season with our neighbours from the north, took place in Lions Head last night. The Lakers came away with a 4-3 victory, and were able to stave off a real late game push from Bruce Peninsula when they pulled their goalie.
Scoring was hard to come by for both teams, with great goaltending and solid defence. It was a 1-1 came after two periods, and then the Lakers would open up a 4-2 lead before Bruce Peninsula would push back within one.
Dakota Simkins would score twice, and Lukas Heathers and Riley Field added singles for the Lakers.
Bruce Peninsula's reply came with singles from Nick Bird, Grayham Santin, and CJ Arthur.
