Midgets Advance to Round # 2 in OMHA Bracket
The Lakers were victorious last Friday night to close out their opening series against the Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs. A 4-1 victory in Game # 4, was enough to move on to the next round. This was the only game that wasn't decided by a 1 goal difference!! A real hard fought series, with really great goaltending at both ends of the arena!!
Game # 4
Shallow Lake 4 - Arran-Elderslie 1
The Lakers visited Chesley last Friday. The game was another extremely close one, that saw a 1-1 tie after two periods. Shallow Lake would get singles from Liam McIvor, Jordan Proctor, Luke Heathers, and Riley Field.
Brock Tanner replied with the lone goal for the Ice Dogs.
Game # 3
Arran-Elderslie 5 - Shallow Lake 4
The Lakers jumped out to a terrific start at home going ahead 3-0, but penalty troubles in the second period cost them huge. The Ice dogs would not only catch back up, but go ahead and held off a late charge by the Lakers.
Aaron O'Reilly, Luke Heathers, Cole Ouwendyk, and Kory Brady would get the goals for the Lakers, just one short.
The Ice Dogs scoring came from Mitch McLeod, Louis Gregg, Calvin Robinson, Brock Tanner, and Harley Drost.
Game # 2
Shallow Lake 1 - Arran-Elderslie 0
The Lakers were on the road for Game # 2, and there was only one goal scored in the contest!! Kory Brady would notch the games only goal late in the third to grab a 2-0 series lead. Jed Nuttall was fantastic in net, and earned the shut-out.

Shallow Lake 3 - Arran-Elderslie 2
Another really close game saw the Lakers win the opener at home 3-2. Riley Field, Jered Ruth, and Aaron O'Reilly scored the goals for Shallow Lake. Arran-Elderslie answered with markers from Harley Drost and Brock Tanner.
