ATOM LL #2, 2011-2012 (Shallow Lake Minor Hockey)

Exciting Saturday Hockey in Shallow Lake with evenly matched teams made the fans cheer loudly for both teams. With lots of action and some near misses the scoreless first period was surprising. Travis started with the first goal coming from a beautiful passing play by Sagar and Jonas. Second goal of this period by # 12 Kaden, his first of the season with another great pass by Alex P. Congrats! The second period was tied going into third, which brought out the best in our team. Goals by Chris and Sagar sealed the deal along with great goaltending to give us another win. What a game!! 

The second period of this game was our best in which we saw 4 of our 5 goals. Congrats to Alex P. for his first goal of the season, well done. Also Ari and Chris netting a couple of goals each. The assists go to Jonas and Taylor. We lost steam going into the third period and could not regain our lead we had earlier on.

Two games this weekend brought us a Split with a loss and a win. Saturday's game was very rough.It showed that our Hockey legs were not moving very well since we were not on the ice for a whole week. Sunday's game was a different story. The early start and pre game warm up was a definite benefit in the games outcome. This high scoring match with goals from many different players gave us much to cheer about. Congrats to Sagar (2 goals), Ari (2 goals), Chris (2 goals) and Cameron (1 goal). Well done everybody!!

Once again the two Shallow Lake Local League teams went head to head. Chris started us off with our first goal in period one to give us the lead. Lots of great Hockey from all with no goals on either side in period two. A nail biting third period in which we saw outstanding goal tending by Alex S. kept us in the lead. Great defensive play by Alex P and Tyler held our 1-0 lead into the last minute of the third period. Chris sealed the deal with a beautiful shot from the blue line into an empty net. Congratulation on your first win, the celebration in the dressing room was well deserved.  

In this very physical game our teams where evenly matched. Great 3 way pass from Alex P to Marshall then passing to Sagar for a nice first goal to start us off. Another well rehearsed pass from Cameron to Luke for goal 2 of the game and with it Luke's first point of the season. Congrats!! We fought hard through the third period, but luck was not on our side. Keep up the great effort.
