NOVICE LL #2, 2011-2012 (Shallow Lake Minor Hockey)

WOW what a terrific season for our team finishing 2nd overall.  Unfortunately we couldn't put away the Saugeen Storm team #2 in the championship series falling 2 games to none. Thanks to all coaches and parent volunteers that help make this season a great success. Coach Wayne

OFF TO THE FINALS Great games this weekend by all players and we are off to the final playoff round.  Darryl Blair had a pair of goals including the overtime winner, Owen Van Manen and Quin Cardinal added singles to defeat Saugeen Shores team #1 4-3 in OT.  Matthew Deiter again back stopped the team to its 3rd victory of the playoffs. Special mention goes to Oskar French-Jones, Braden Grimoldby, Jimmy St Marie and AJ Shouldice for there terrific defensive plays to help out their goalie and getting the puck out of our end. ANOTHER GREAT HARD FOUGHT WIN! Our team battled hard Friday night to win a second straight play down game vs Saugeen Storm team #3.  Quin Cardinal, Marcus Legnaro and Darryl Blair scored with Matthew Deiter back stopping the team to a 3-2 victory. Our record: Saugeen Storm #2 defeated us in first game of playdowns 9-2,  We bounced back against Shallow Lake team #1 with a 4-3 victory last Friday night.  We are now sitting with 2 wins and 1 loss.  One more win and we are off to the finals. PLAY HARD AND HAVE FUN!

What a great tournament! Wiarton- Fri. Oct 28th and Sat October 29th Harold Sutherland Novice LL#2 team opened the hockey year by enjoying some great wins, lots of firsts and with medals and awards abounding
