LAKERS left feeling short changed!
After a terrific first game with the Hanover Falcons back in November who tied the game up late in the 3rd period in Shallow Lake with 4.44 mins to go on the clock of a 15 minute 3rd period you could only walk away anticipating the next meeting of 2 highly skilled, hard checking teams.
Sunday nights game was going to be a battle, neither team wanting to give up first place overall. Hanover started the scoring quickly jumping out to a 2-0 lead. The Lakers with their never give up attitude cut their lead in half notching up a marker of their own. Unfortunately with only a 10 minute 3rd period to work with the Lakers ran out of time, however pressing right until the final buzzer sounded falling prey to the Falcon's in a 2-1 loss.
No matter, it was a great game! But judging by what happened in the first game a lot can happen in 5 mins
Am I cranky? U bet...but the lesson is, don't wait until the 3rd period to start playing!
