One Day Tournament in Clifford
The Bantam Rep team travelled early morning to Clifford to play in a one day tournament
The Bantam Rep players played against a very strong squad from Shelbourne. They worked hard to try and keep up with the strong squad from Shelbourne. Unfortunately, the kids lost with a score of 8-0. Even though this was a tough loss for the Lakers they rebounded against Durham in their second game of the tournament. It was a great game to watch for the parents and a great game for the Bantam team. In the first period within minutes, Durham put the first goal in the Lakers net. Within seconds, Laker's Jeremy D. put one by the goaltender. This tied the game at 1-1. The game stayed tied till the third period when Jeremy D made another attempt and put the puck in the net to give the Laker's the lead . Durham was able to tie the game up with another goal in the third. We went to OT with 4 on 4 for 2 minutes, 3 on 3 for 2 minutes, and 2 on 2 for 2 minutes which lead into a shoot out. For the Lakers, Jeremy D. Rhett S. and Tyson W were our shooters. Tyson W. scored for the Lakers. The Durham squad unfortunately got two goals up to end the game with a win. Great goaltending by William D and great playing and passing by the team. The Bantam team will travel to another tournament this following weekend in Port Carling. Go Luck Lakers.
