Great Team Effort in Arthur Hockey Tournament
It was a great team effort to end a good day at the Arthur arena after a slow start to the day with a heart pumping loss to the Arthur Vipers. Falling short with a 4-2 loss, nobody gave up, they just looked onward to the next task. Goals were scored by Kaden and Kalum; assists went to Shawn, James, Cameron and Lander.
We took a deep breathe and regrouped after losing those so called bus legs and put on the battle gear to take on the Fergus 23 team. We were not prepared to take another loss and made sure of that by taking the 5-1 win with a full team effort from the forwards to the
defense and excellent goaltending from Conner. With everybody playing their positions well and putting the puck on the tape and in the back of the net, WE KNEW we were back in the loop and looking forward to the next team to challenge us. Points went to Marshall with 2 goals, Kaden with 1 goal and 1 assist, Cameron with 1 goal and 1 assist, Zach with a goal. An assist each from Alex, Lander, Kalum, Shawn, and Amber.
With one loss and one win under our belt pushed us into the pool "B" Championship game to take on the Fergus 25 team. Starting where we left off from the last game, we continued to play as a team and show the opponent that we can play 9 periods of hockey in a day by putting the puck in the net with a 6-3 win to take home the pool B medal. Points went to Kalum with 3 nice goals and 2 assists, Marshall adding 2 goals and 2 assists, Kaden 1 goal, and the fiesty Cameron adding 3 assists. Dominic and Lander each added an assist.
The coaching staff is happy with everybody's team effort for the good hockey and above all Sam's extremely impressive full-out, going to the net-enforcer-style hockey.
Good job to all.
