CONSOLATION CHAMPS
What a GREAT day of hockey for our Novice LL 2 team. After playing three games of hockey on Saturday January 19, 2013 our team won the title of Consolation Champs in the Arran-Elderslie Novice LL Tournament.
We started out the day against a tough opponent, the Owen Sound Jr Attack. After a very hard fought battle we lost to the Attack by a score of 5-2. Emma MacDonnell and Bennett Lines were our goal scores and Andy Walker and Ashlin Stewart both had 2 assists. MVP of the game was Derek Hartley.
Game #2 was against a team we had never played before, Elma Logan. Our team played a solid game of hockey and ended up winning the game 7-2. Emma MacDonnell, Bennett Lines and Hayden MacIntyre all had 2 goals in the game and Meghan Prentice had a single goal and an assist. MVP of the game was Hayden MacIntyre.
Game#3 was the final game of the day and it was against the Saugeen Shores Storm LL 2. The game was tied 0-0 going into the third period and that's when our Lakers turned up the heat. We scored 3 goals in the period to win the game 3-0. Johnathon Coffey, Emma MacDonnell and Hayden MacIntyre scored our goals and Kylan Robins had an assist. Derek Hartley got the shutout and MVP of the game was Meghan Prentice.
Way to go Lakers, we are so very proud of you!!!
