NOVICE LL #2, 2012-2013 (Shallow Lake Minor Hockey)

Our final game of the season was against Saugeen Shores LL 4.  It was a hard fought game but we ended up losing in overtime 3-2. Our players should all be very proud of themselves.  We had a great season of hockey, made new friends and had FUN doing it.  Thanks to Steve, Rob, Chris and Fraser for all their hard work and dedication this hockey season.  Also thanks to all the parents who volunteered their time to work the door, sell 50/50 tickets and work the timeclock/score keeping, your help and support was greatly appreciated.  Hope to see everyone at the Annual Banquet on Sunday April 7 ...

We headed down to Southamptom on Wed March 6 to play Saugeen Shores Storm #3.  Unfortunately we came up on the short end and lost the game 5-3.  Our goal scorers were Bennett Lines with 2 goals and Meghan Prentice added a single.  Next game for the team is Saturday March 9 at 12pm in Port Elgin vs  Saugeen Shores LL #1

The Saugeen Shores Storm #4 team made the trip to Shallow Lake on Saturday March 2 to play our Novice LL 2 kids.  We won the game by a score of 5-3.  Johnathon Coffey scored 4 goals and Emma MacDonnell scored one.  Next action for the team is Wed March 6 in Southampton!! GO LAKERS!!

Sunday Feb 24 brought the Owen Sound Jr Attack to Shallow Lake for our first playoff game of the season.  After a hard fought battle we lost the game by a score of 2-0. The team played a great game and they should be very proud of themselves On Monday Feb 25 we played against the Shallow Lake Lakers Novice LL 1 team.  It was an action packed fast paced game which we unfortunatley lost 4-0. 

Our final game of the regular season took our team down to Tara to play the Ice Dogs.  We changed our line up a little for this game and had Emma MacDonnell playing net and Derek Hartley played forward.  Emma earned the win for our team as we won the game by a scored of 2-1.  Our goals were scored by Derek Hartley and Johnathon Coffey and assists by Charlie Burns and Austin Negus
