Laker Day a Big Success
Great crowds and some great hockey made our first Laker Day in over 2 years a great success.
For the first time since COVID shut us down over 20 months ago the Shallow Lake Community Center was rocking on Saturday. The day kicked off at 8am with our Under 7 group hitting the ice and showing the fans what they accomplished so far and ended with our U15 Rep squeaking out a win over a visiting team from Ingersoll.
There was non stop action on the ice all day and the main lobby was busy with our Laker Apparel Christmas Sale that was also a big success. We can't wait to see all over Laker kids and parents showing off our association in their new swag.
A big shout out to Tim Hortons in Hepworth and Fretz Valu-Mart in Sauble Beach for supplying snacks and beverages for all the teams when they came off the ice. The donuts, hot chocolate, hot dogs and soft drinks were a big hit.
Thanks to our executive members who manned the Laker Apparel tables and the snack tables all day, and to the players and parents for showing the visiting teams your pride in our association. We look forward to a continuing successful season.
