McCartney Family Donates to Minor Hockey, News (Shallow Lake Minor Hockey)

Shallow Lake Minor Hockey would like to thank the McCartney Family for their generous donation in memory of Bob McCartney who passed away in March of this year.

Bob’s son Jonah was on hand at the November 10^th executive meeting to make the presentation on behalf of the family. Jonah played his minor hockey in Shallow Lake and Bob helped as a coach.  Bob and his family have been a strong supporter of Minor Sports in both Wiarton and Shallow Lake for many years.  At the request of the family the donation will be used to set up a fund that will go towards helping  families in need for registration fees or new equipment for children so they can have the opportunity to play hockey. A Memorial Fund Fund page will be set up to recognize this donation an any other memorial donations received.
