Time and Scorekeepers should position themselves in the time box at least five minutes BEFORE game time. 2 People Maximum in time box

Set the clock for a 3 minute warm up and start the clock at the scheduled start time, regardless of whether or not the teams are on the ice.

No food and/or drinks are permitted in the timekeeping booth.

Absolutely no cell phones are permitted to be used inside the timekeeping booth for calls or texts.

Time keepers will be ejected and not used for the remainder of the season if caught with phones in use.

Be prepared! Bring a pen (no pencils or markers)

No graffiti will be tolerated in the timekeeping booth. Anyone caught doing so will be removed from the assignment list permanently.

Do not talk to the players on the ice or players in the penalty box.

Focus on the game. You are being paid to do a job. Try your best and ask questions if needed. If you are not sure what the Referee has called or wishes, sound the horn and have them come back over to the time box immediately. Do not let the game continue.

Record all penalties/goals and assists accurately on the game sheet as directed by the Referee. Ensure game sheet is clear and legible.

Ensure that the Referee is aware of the length of each game and whether or not a curfew is in effect.

At the end of the game ensure that the Referees take the game sheet

If a timekeeper fails to perform their responsibilities or follow the rules listed above in a professional manner they may be dismissed from their remaining assigned games

NO GAME WILL EXCEED THE PERMIT TIME.

If undue delays occur for any reason and the game cannot be completed within the permit time, the Referees will make the call to stop the game under curfew

No Playdown or playoff game will have a curfew in place
