2014 Season Now Complete
Excitement, regret, replaying games that made a difference and games that could have made a difference, anticipation of next year and on and on it goes, but for today it’s still over. With this hockey year now complete, it’s time to think of the upcoming events and activities, and more importantly say “Thanks” to the people that make it happen.

Most importantly from the Executive to all of you, THANKS for a great year on and off the ice.  No organization is perfect, and we have our bumps in the road, but all in all, it’s a great minor hockey system, and we are proud of it and appreciate all you do.  Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Trainers, Managers, Parents, Grandparents, Kids and anyone missed deserve a thanks and a pat on the back that is often missed.  Thank you for what you do and we look forward to progressing as an organization.

For the Township continuing to support us and our Arena staff - Dan, Dave, Peter and Greg, Thanks! They do not hear it enough, and we should all take a minute to say Thank You!  Without them nobody would even get into the place.  It’s clean, great ice and a good atmosphere for all to enjoy the game.

Registration starts soon!    Registering early lets us plan as far ahead as we can to get a jump start on planning over the summer months.  We will be holding online registration this year.  Watch the website for full details.  For the 2014-2015 Season one (1) parent of each player MUST complete the Respect In Sport (RIS) Parent Program.  This on-line course MUST BE completed prior to the OMHA deadline of August 31, 2014.  Don't delay in completing as this will result in your player not receiving OMHA approval to play on any team.

First time players (Atom and under) in minor hockey will again receive FREE registration if they have not played organized hockey, so for the newbies out there, lets spread the word and bring them to a great game.

We look forward to another successful season and hope you and your child are enjoying your experience with Minor Hockey.

Yours in Hockey
Shallow Lake Minor Hockey Executive
