Novice Rep "B" Champions
The Shouldice Designer Stone Novice Rep travelled to Dundalk for their 2nd tournament of the year.
The first game was against the Arthur Vipers where Gillian played her first game as a goalie and she came out with the shut out...way to go Gillian to step in for Derek who came down with a touch of the flu. The team played hard in front of her and came out with a 10-0 victory.
Our second game of the day was against the Cayuga Stars, with Derek back in net we had a hard fought battle that seen us go down 2-0 in the first period but battled back to tie it up 2-2 in the second. Third period solved nothing so off to overtime we went. Unfortunately we couldn't finish them off and were defeated with 2 minutes left in OT.
The third game was for the Novice "B" championship were we came out hard and within a minute from puck drop we were up 3-0 and from there we never looked back defeating the Plattsville Rage a stunning 16-0. The tournament had many firsts with Willam netting his first and second goals of the season and AJ netting his first goal and who could forget Gillian getting her first shut out in her first ever game as goalie.
Thank you very much to Braden who made the drive down to backup Derek in net and then play out for the 3rd game and earned himself an assist on one of Williams goals. The entire team appreciates the fact you dropped everything to come down and help us out.
