Code of Ethics/rules and regulations:

All Parents, Skaters, Coaches and Board Members connected with the Shallow Lake Skating Club must abide by the Code of Ethics and/or rules and regulations as outlined by both Skate Canada and the Shallow Lake Skating Club.

Refunds:

Refund requests must be requested IN WRITING, unless accompanied by a Doctor’s note.  

All refund requests are subject to BOARD APPROVAL.

Refund requests submitted prior to the first week of skating will receive 75% of the registration fee.

Refund requests submitted before the 3rd week of skating will receive 50% of the registration fee.

Refund requests after the 3rd week of skating will receive no refund unless accompanied by a Doctor’s Note and will be pro-rated to the date of the skater’s withdrawal from the program.

Overdue Accounts:

Any member whose account is past due will not be permitted to try badges, Skate Canada tests or competitions. NSF cheques will be subject to a $50 NSF fee.

Publicity:

Throughout the season we will be publishing names and possibly photos of your child. If you would prefer for your child’s name not to be included, please let us know immediately, in writing.

Please check our website www.shallowlakeskating.com and our Club Bulletin Board for information regarding upcoming events, information, etc.

Payment Schedule:

We offer a 3-installment payment plan for program fees only  Total payment is $350 plus Skate Canada Fee. The payment schedule is as follows:

Cost Breakdown

Our fees include fundraising, pictures, coaching and ice.  Our session runs for 19 weeks making lessons less than $10 per night

 

Equipment:

All skaters must wear a CSA approved helmet until at least Stage 5 of the CanSkate Program

All skaters should wear proper attire – mitts, slush pants/snow pants and warm coat.  Please no scarves or jeans or fuzzy mittens.

Season:

First session will begin on Tuesday October 15, 2013 – Wednesday December 18, 2013.  Skating times are 5:00 – 5:50pm


Pancake Breakfast and Skate with Santa – Saturday December 14, 2013 form 9 – 12 with skating from 10 - 11

Second session will begin on Tuesday January 7, 2014 – Wednesday March 5, 2013.  Skating times are 5:00 – 5:50pm


Talent Day will be Sunday March 9, 2014 from 2 – 5 pm


CanSkate and StarSkate Awards Celebration – Wednesday March 26, 2014 at 6pm
