ANOTHER SEASON IS COMPLETE
Submitted By SLMH on Monday, April 1, 2013
Excitement, regret, replaying games that made a difference and games that could have made a difference, anticipation of the next year and on and on it goes, but for today it’s still over. With this hockey year coming to a close and ice leaving Sunday, March 24th, it is time to think of the upcoming events and activities, and more importantly say a Thanks to the people that make it happen.

Most importantly from the Executive to all of you, THANK YOU for a great year on and off the ice.  No organization is perfect, and we will have our bumps in the road, but all in all, its  a great minor hockey system. and we are proud of it and appreciate all you do for it.  Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Trainers, Managers, Parents, Grandparents, Kids and anyone missed deserve a thanks and a pat on the back that is often missed.  Thank-you for what you do and we look forward to progressing as an organization.

For the Township continuing to support us and Arena operators Dan, Dave and Peter, Thanks!  They will not hear it enough and we should all be taking a minute to say Thank You!  Without them nobody would even get into the place.  Its clean, great ice and a good atmosphere for all to enjoy Canada’s game.

Please fill out the nomination “SLMHA Awards” for Exemplary people in the organization.  They matter, and this is a great way to show a little appreciation.  A ballot box is located near the TV in the arena lobby.

Registration starts soon!    Registering early lets us plan as far ahead as we can to get a jump start on planning over the summer months.

First time players (Atom and under) in minor hockey will again receive FREE registration if they have not played organized hockey, so for the newbies out there, lets spread the word and bring them to a great game.

We may hold an equipment swap early next year.  Any equipment is appreciated and can be dropped with the arena personal at any time.

We look forward to another successful season and hope you and your child are enjoying your experience with Minor Hockey.

Yours in Hockey
Shallow Lake Minor Hockey Executive
