Hockey Hard Hat
The Hard Hat Award is given to the player who goes the extra mile, plays a two way game and leaves it all out on the ice!

Sat. Feb. 25th - Shawn Briggs received the Hard Hat today.  Shawn has played solid D all year and today was another example of the that.  The other team only scored one goal on us today and Shawn was a big reason why there was only one goal against.  Good hockey players can play a physical game, great hockey players play a physical and mental game, Shawn is a great hockey player!

Sun. Feb. 19th - Meghan Prentice earned the Hard Hat today.  Angel had her wings on as she was flying around the ice.  She did exactly what the coaches were wanting from the team and that was to spread out, play your postions and pass the puck.  Great job Meg keep it up!

Sat. Feb. 4th - Dominic Eldred-Wood received the Hard Hat today.  The Dominator has been giving it his all each an every game this year.  He always tries his hardest each an every shift and there has been many games he has been our hardest worker.  A solid checker who breaks up a lot plays, his hard work pays off and he gets the job done, great work!

Tues. Jan. 31st - James Palmer received the Hard Hat for tonight's game for his hard work down low in the offensive zone.  James a power forward applied great pressure allowing his line to keep the puck in the other team's end for most of the night.  Great job, keep your feet moving and use your strength.

Sat. Jan. 28th - Jamie Norman was awarded the Hard Hat for today's game.  Jamie got a chance to play up front today and took full advantage of it as she scored her first goal of the year!  She also had 3 assists in today's game, nice passing.  Jamie has played defense all year and done a great job and showed today that she can also be effective as a forward, keep it up Jamie!

Sat. Jan. 21 - Game 2 of the Arran-Elderslie Tournament saw Joseph Weiler receive the Hard Hat for his strong defensive play.  Joseph also had some nice end to end rushes, one finishing with a goal.  When Joseph is skating at full speed there are not too many players that can catch him, keep it going #4.  Happy Birthday Joseph!

Sat. Jan. 21 - Game 1 of the Arran-Elderslie Tournament saw Johnathon Coffey receive the Hard Hat for his great pressure as he was moving he legs as fast as they would go.  JJ closed the gap and made it very hard for the other team to get out of their end.  Also displayed by JJ was some nice dangling!

Sun. Jan. 15 - The Hard Hat was earned by Ben Redmond today.  Ben turned in another stellar performance as he has been doing all year.  Ben our goalie has been a wall this year, leaving the other teams shooters scratching their heads.  Ben's athletic ability has been on display all year and again today with some highlight reel saves, a real treat to watch.

Sun. Jan. 8 - Zack Deakins was awarded the Hard Hat for today's game.  Zack has been playing his position much better lately and today was rewarded with 2 goals, his first 2 of the year!  Keep playing your position and have your stick on the ice in front of the net and you will be sure to pot some more.

Sat. Jan. 7 - Jake Ross was the recipient of the Hard Hat today.  Jake had a very strong game doing a number of things well, especially passing the puck which his coaches like to see.  Jake also played the third period on defense and to top it all off he had a hat trick.

Sat. Dec. 17 - Zach Palmer received the Hard Hat today for his great passing and effort.  Zach has been listening to the coaches when we've said when you get the puck on your stick get your head up and look for a pass.  Zach is a great example for the rest of his teammates to follow.

Wed. Dec. 14 - Kaleb Slater had his little legs just a moving tonight.  It was quite obvious who was going to get the Hard Hat tonight.  Kaleb had a great two way game, made some nice rushes, applied pressure but more importantly backchecked and probably saved a goal or two.  Keep those legs going!

Sun. Dec. 11 - Kaiden Henrich received the Hard Hat today for his great forchecking which created chances for him and his linemates.  We have been talking about putting PRESSURE on the opposing team deep and their end and that's exactly what Kaiden did today.

Sat. Dec. 10 - Tyler McKee was the recipient of the Hard Hat today. Ty had his legs moving which always had him in the play. Solid defensive play capped off by a nice coast to coast rush finishing with a goal.

Sat. Dec. 3 - The Hard Hat was awarded to Spencer Davidson today for his strong defensive play.  Spencer normally a forward accepted his role as a defenseman today and did a great job.  Spencer's quote "I like defense can I play it again!"
