SLMH is pleased to announce that registration for our Annual Atom & Peewee LL tournament is open.

We offer a 3 game guarantee and are sanctioned for C – CC – D – DD - Ae3 - Ae4 - Ae5 teams.  The tournament will run January 4 & 5, 2020.  Entry Fee is $750.00 (Gate Fee included).  Your spot in our tournament is not guaranteed until payment is received in full.

We will be accepting 6 Atom and 6 Peewee teams

Applications will not be considered until payment, team roster and travel permit are received

 

Divisions will be filled upon receipt of completed application and payment on a first come basis

Tournament is OMHA sanctioned.

 

First games are to be played Saturday, January 4, 2020

 

Final games slated for Sunday, January 5, 2020 (late Afternoon)

 

All teams prior to their first game must produce a copy of original approved player roster, approval letter and travel permits (if necessary, see Note below)

 

Each team roster shall be limited to 19 players (including two goaltenders) and 5 team officials. 

Changes may be made prior to the first game with the Tournament Registrar (AP players must be included). No additions will be permitted after your first game.

 

All cheques will be cashed on receipt. Post-dated cheques will not be accepted. NSF cheques will be subject to $25.00 administrative fee.

 

There will be no gate fees charged to players or spectators.

RULES AND INFORMATION

Timing of periods will consist of two (2) ten (10) minute periods and one (1) fifteen (15) minute period.

Teams are allowed one (1) – 30 second time out per team, per game.

Pre-game warm up is three (3) minutes after the Zamboni leaves the ice.

OMHA Rules shall apply, including Coach & Trainer certification and suspensions. Any player or member of the coaching staff not properly carded, will not be allowed to compete.

Classifications must correspond to your current OMHA Registration.

All game starting times are approximate. All teams are required to be in the arena 1 hour prior to playing time and be ready to play 30 minutes prior to their posted game times. 

Failure to comply will result in a game delay penalty or a forfeit.  Decision is up to the Tournament Convener.  All decisions are final. All games will be played to completion.

In the case of conflicting Jerseys, the home team will change.

Each team is responsible for any damage that may be done by any of its members to the Shallow Lake Arena used by them during the tournament. The Committee requires that team staff and players cooperate in keeping these rooms clean, orderly, and in good condition. Please make sure that all debris, tape, trash, etc. is placed in trash receptacles before leaving the facilities.

Unless prior permission is received, the roster submitted to the Tournament Convener will be considered final.

Each team will be guaranteed 3 games round robin with ice resurfacing between every game. The 2 teams with the highest number of points will play in the championship game.

A total of 5 pts will be awarded for each game played.  Teams will receive 1 pt. for each period (1- win, ½ - tie, 0-loss). Teams will receive additional pts as follows, 2 – win, 1 – tie & 0 – loss

In the event of a tie game in regulation play, the tie stands in all age levels. NO OVERTIME WILL BE PLAYED DURING THE ROUND ROBIN GAMES!

In the event that a team is required to forfeit a game, the opposing team will be awarded all 5 pts for that game and a score of 3-0 will be recorded.

If two or more teams have an equal number of points after round robin play, their final position in the standings will be determined as follows (in order): (A) Total goals for (most), (B) Total goals against (least), and (C) Least penalties.

Championship Game Tiebreaker


A 5 minute period of 5 on 5 play sudden death overtime period will be played. If still tied, a 5 minute 4 on 4 sudden death overtime period will be played. If it remains a tie, a 3 man shootout will be played. 3 individual players named at the end of the first OT. Home team has option to go first or second. Repeat process until game is decided. A shooter cannot be reused until the entire roster has been completed.

If any issues should arise, it will be the Tournament Convener's final decision. In any case – NO PROTESTS WILL BE ALLOWED.
