I would like to introduce myself as SLMHA 2016-2017 Tournament Convener, and welcome all teams to our 3rd Annual Atom & Peewee Rep Lakers Weekend.
I want to commend all coaches and parents who have committed their time and effort to working toward a safe and fun activity where the children can learn enduring lessons of hard work and reward as well as sportsmanship and self-discipline.
I hope all parents and others will take the opportunity to enjoy what our community has to offer between games, and if possible that you will patronize some of the fine local businesses.
I would like to personally thank the referees, arena staff and many other community members who have worked relentlessly to create a memorable and rewarding experience for all participating hockey teams. This event would not be possible without them.
To all teams, regardless of where you place in the tournament, you are all winners for having the drive to compete as team players in the great game of hockey.
Good luck, have a great tournament, and most of all have a safe season.
