Laker Novice Rep Turn the Tables
The Laker Novice Rep headed north up Hwy 6 Friday Night to take on the Bruce Peninsula Northstars in a rematch of last Sundays game . The boys from the Bruce skated away with a 6-0 win in Shallow Lake Sunday and the young Lakers were looking for revenge.
The Lakers would strike early when Josh Edmonstone would take a pass from Jaxon Bisson and then go in alone and bury one crossbar down to put the Lakers in front early in the first period. The rest of the game would be back & forth with both sides having great chances and both goalies coming up big . With the Lakers holding onto 1-0 lead the Northstars would pull their goalie for the 6th attacker with 40 seconds left in the 3rd. The Lakers would fight them off and with 1 second left Edmonstone would pick up his 2nd of the game into an empty net. Laker goalie Jackson Kuhl picked up the shutout win, coming up big on several occasions . The coaches are proud the way the players are working hard in practices and games and working as a team.
