B Champs at the Drayton Tournament
Sunday had us heading to Drayton for our 2nd tournament of the season. Our 1st game was a hard fought game with Johnathon Marlow scoring our only goal in a 2 to 1 game. It was a very fast paced game to start the tournament for sure and Holden Campbell played a great game between the pipes.
Our second game brought us up against Ayr. They came out hard and fast and put the 1st goal in the net but we rallied back with a 8 to 6 win. Johnathon Coffey came away with 4 goals, followed by Logan McDonald with 2 goals, and Scott Sanderson and Hayden MacIntrye with a goal each and assists going to Dylan Sinclair and Kylan Robins.
Our final game for the "B" Championship was against Cambridge. Another fast game with everyone playing hard and digging for the puck. Kylan Robins started us off with our first goal, Hayden MacIntrye had 2 goals, and Hat Tricks went to Scott Sanderson, Logan McDonald, and Johnathon Coffey.
Our defense played a strong game keeping the puck out of our end during the tournament as well as Holden Camplbell keeping the puck out of the net.
We are very lucky to have a great group of kids who play very well together and work so well as a team. A big thank you goes out the coaches for a great weekend of hockey and to our team for showing great sportsmanship while away at the tournament!
