Drayton Minor Hockey Atom LL Tournament Champs!!
Hard work and stamina payed off and the Atom LL#1 team brought home the hardware as the "B" Champions on Saturday.
Our first game we faced Hanover, and despite or best efforts, we came up a goal short in the 3rd and lost 6-5. Scott opened the scoring and both him and Ryan had a pair of goals while Adam added a single.
We were seeded to the B side and faced Center Wellington next. Ashton and Ryan had a pair and Kaden added asingle to seal the win 5-1.
After a nutritious and delicious snack carefully prepared by our wonderful parents we were ready for the final.
On to the championship game where we faced Mt.Forest. Ashton and Ryan both netted hat tricks and Adam added a single to bring home the trophy 7-2. Solid defense and stellar teamwork made the tournament a success.
The coaching staff are super proud of the effort of the kids this weekend. They played their hearts out and never complained about being tired and they never gave up. They definitely earned the trophy.
