Lakers tie up series with OT victory
Kaleb Sutherland scored just over 3 minutes into overtime to notch the series at 2 games apiece.

Despite playing some great hockey lately, the Lakers ventured into the small confines of Tara Community Centre facing elimination in their 2nd round of OMHA playdowns, for game #4 vs the Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs on Wednesday evening.

Both teams came out strong once again, trading goals back and forth throughout the first 2 periods, looking to get the advantage in the 3rd session.  After a scoreless 3rd, and the game tied up at 2 goals apiece, both teams found themselves heading into overtime, "AGAIN"..... and just over 3 minutes into period #4  Kaleb Sutherland would swing around on his backhand in the slot and beat the Ice Dogs goalie for the OT winner.  Finally, the 1st real break of the series for the Lakers !
It was Sutherlands 2nd goal of the game, with the other lone marker coming from Terran Hooey, as once again the Lakers registered just over 40 shots against the opposition, while giving up just a dozen of their own.

The back end play of Colin Kitto, Cole Waddell, Dylan Mole and Kurtis Smith was instrumental in keeping the quick wingers of AE at check for the most part throughout the game.

With the series now tied at 2 games apiece, both teams will once again face off against each other in Shallow Lake this upcoming Saturday afternoon at 4:45pm, for game #5.

"GOOD LUCK BOYS"
