Lakers Down Lucknow 3 Straight
Garb and Gear Shallow Lake Lakers win the first game with a score of 5-1 in their home rink. Goals were scored by, Kirk with a pair, Quin, Gavin and Kalum added singles. Assists were Matthew, Kalum, Cole, Jessica and Gavin. Jesse played net.
Game 2 was in Lucknow on Sunday. It ended with a score of 4-1. Lucknow started off the scoring leading 1-0 until Kirk (2K) evened it up late in the first. Gavin scored two power play goals to put the lakers in the lead. 2K added the fourth goal. Assists were Kurt, Kalum, Quin and Aidan.
Game 3 was back in Lucknow for a Wednesday night game. The Lakers came out hard scoring 3 goals in the first period (Kalum, Gavin and 2K). Both teams started to take some penalties after 3 games in 5 days. The Lakers let up a bit with a 3-0 score and Lucknow was able to claw back into the game and score 2 goals. The Lakers win the game and the series in a 3-2 goal game.
The defense had a strong series. They moved the puck out of our end and made smart plays creating offense.
