Wingham Regional Silver Stick
Atom Reps finish with 1 win and 2 losses at regional silver stick.

This past week the Atom Reps participated in the Wingham Regional Silver Stick tournament.  After a slow start to the tourney the team finished with 2 strong games.

The first game saw us meet up with Drayton for the 3rd time in past few weeks.  A slow start saw the Lakers falling behind 3-0 but there was no give-up in the team.  The 3rd period we found our legs and the Lakers battled back with 2 goals but a 4th goal by Drayton was a back breaker as the Lakers fell 4-2.

Our second game was a tilt with home town Wingham which was a back and forth battle.  The fans enjoyed a great game by two even teams which saw some great defensive hockey.  The coaches were very proud of the team tonight, we just came out on the short end with a 1-0 loss.

Saturday was a game playing for pride with SL meeting up with Ripley.  The Lakers skated away with a 1-0 victory, the game played mostly in Ripley's end and 2 Laker goals waved off.  Finally a game outshooting our opponents by a considerable amount.  A bet prior to the game saw the players win and the coaches have to perform a dance that is now probably trending on the internet...thanks coach Dave and ya nice moves!

The team has turned the corner and is now headed in the right direction.  Here is hoping some goal scoring sticks appear under the tree on Christmas morning.
